AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST MINISTRIES
Monthly Update September 2007
Dios te Bendiga!!! (God Bless you!!!)

Welcome to the September issue of our monthly e-newsletters.  We are thankful for the events of this past month.  In this newsletter we will share the success of VBS and the progress of the ministry in the ranchos and in Tocuyito.  We have much planned for the upcoming months which brings us much excitement.  We hope you enjoy this month's update.

 Reaping A Harvest!

We are always grateful to see growth and progress with the ministry.  We are excited about the souls that have been won through the ministry in the ranchos.  There are several people who have been baptized and now fellowship regularly with the church as a direct result of the weekly bible studies we have in the ranchos.

The ministry in Tocuyito is going well!  We are pleased with the reception that we have had from the neighbors.  We began in January evangelizing our neighbors near the finca.  At first we spent about 10 - 15 minutes at each home; now we spend a minimum of 1 hour visiting.  The neighbors now anticipate our visits.  They are looking forward to when we have services at the finca.  Many of them inquire as to when we will start.  With God's help we plan to begin the first of the year.

 Vacation Bible School

August VBS in TocuyitoThe week of Vacation Bible School was a great success.  We taught the children basic biblical principles, we taught them bible songs, we played games and Kristen, Mark Jr. and Jackson gave puppet shows.  The children came everyday and were most attentive. We have also been able to reach many adults through the VBS sessions; because many parents began to come with the children later in the week.  We are extremely happy with how the children have received the gospel.  They were open to learn and eager for us to arrive.  One day we g ot there and the children were waiting for us!  What a thrill!!

We are grateful that God held the rain for us.  VBS took place in the middle of the rainy season, therefore we asked God to hold the rain each day long enough for the children to arrive dry and for them to walk back home dry.  All week the rain was held back during the exact time that we requested.  God is awesome!August VBS in Tocuyito

At the end of the week, we were able to give each child a gift box that consisted of  a small toy, coloring book and crayons, underwear, toothbrush & toothpaste, and various school supplies.   We enjoyed the week immensely and are planning another VBS for January.  Please continue to remember the children in your prayers.

House of Hope

Casa de La EsperanzaThis picture depicts an artist's vision of House of Hope.  We are in great anticipation to begin construction January 2008!

During the last year there have been many times when our hearts despaired because we were not able to begin construction of the orphanage, but we trust God and know that His timing is best.

The blue prints are ready, the land is ready, and soon the finances will be ready! We are expecting to see the first home come to fruition very soon!  Our goal is to build 4 homes.
Each home will house 25 children along with house parents and additional helpers.  The homes will have seven bedrooms including a suite apartment for the house parents and in addition to this it will also have five bathrooms, an industrial kitchen, and a dining room.  The upper level will house the library, study area and recreational room.

We will be in the States during the months of October and November sharing our mission, raising funds for the project, and recruiting mission teams to join us in Venezuela.  There are thousands of children living on the streets of Valencia.

Our mission and vision is to rescue the perishing children; and we know that if we reach the children, we can reach the nation!  Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we go forth with the mission God has given us.
